Ridgeland Challenger Baseball League |
Since the inception of the Ridgeland Challenger Baseball League in 1991, it has grown into one of the premier sports programs in the country for children and adults with physical and mental challenges and the program has been featured in both local and national news stories. In 2006, the league founders were honored by being inducted into the Humanitarian Hall of Fame. The award not only honored the founders' vision and tireless efforts but also the efforts of all those who have worked to build the league into a place of joy and refuge.

When I was a small boy in Kansas, a friend of mine and I went fishing...I told him I wanted to be a real major league baseball player, a genuine professional like Honus Wagner. My friend said that he'd like to be President of the United States. Neither of us got our wish. Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969)
